Name Origin[]

The name "Bayard" may be a reference to a horse in French mythology with the ability to change size depending on its rider, much like how the Bayard weapons change shape to match their wielders.

Oooo, now that's a neat bit of info! Mind if I add it to the notes for the Bayard page? :) Byrnstar (talk) 06:41, November 7, 2016 (UTC)

I don't see why not.

Allura's Bayard[]

While energy whip is definitely an accurate way to describe Allura's bayard, I think it's meant to be an urumi, a long, flexible sword that can be used as a whip, given the way she uses is as both a whip and a blade.

Ooo, thanks for the info! While I'm sure most the weapons in VLD ascribe to the Rule of Cool first, it's always interesting to see if there's a RL weapon that matches. :)  Byrnstar (talk) 22:41, August 6, 2017 (UTC)
