The S.S. Explorer is a Galaxy Alliance ship. It is the mother ship of the Voltron Vehicle Team, piloted by Commander Hawkins.
The main mission of S.S. Explorer was to search the universe for uninhabited planets that could support life and provide new homes for the growing populations of the Galaxy Alliance planets.
