Lions' Pride, Part 2 is the thirteenth episode and season finale of the seventh season of Voltron: Legendary Defender. It was released on Netflix along with the rest of the season on August 10, 2018.
Synopsis[]
With the future of Earth hanging in the balance, Voltron and the others come together to face a mysterious enemy unlike any they've ever seen.
Plot Summary[]
The meteor turns out to be a new robot. Immensely powerful, it easily shrugs off Voltron's attacks, as well as weapons fire from the IGF-Atlas. One of the attacks drains Voltron and it seems like the team will soon be defeated. Shiro has a vision and instinctively understands that the Atlas is more than a ship. Since having the crystal installed, the ship's systems have been evolving and Shiro manages to convert the Atlas is a gigantic robot that dwarfs both Voltron and the enemy robot.
The Atlas fights the robot on more equal terms, but the enemy robot soon gets the upper hand once more. Keith works out the enemy's weak spot on its chest, and Voltron undergoes another upgrade to defeat the new robot. With the enemy defeated, it becomes clear that a self-destruct system has been activated capable of destroying half the planet. The Lions take the robot into space where it explodes. The Earth is safe, but the Lions crash-land on the planet.
Shiro gives a speech at the Galaxy Garrison, presiding over a funeral for all those lost in the battle for Earth. The Paladins are recovering in hospital alongside family and friends. Allies from the Voltron Coalition arrive on Earth to help rebuild.
Months after, Samuel Holt takes Allura to see something they salvaged from the enemy robot – its power core. When they open it, Sam shows Allura his discovery that the robot was powered by a female Altean.
