Omega Shield is the first episode of the sixth season of Voltron: Legendary Defender. It was released on Netflix along with the rest of the season on June 15, 2018.
Synopsis[]
An attack by Sendak prompts the Paladins to scramble to a planet's defense. Lotor calls on Allura for help in assembling a powerful ship.
Plot Summary[]
Lotor and the Voltron Coalition discuss their next move now that they are allied with the Galra Empire. Lotor believes that priority should be given to the Sincline ships. But Lance is of the opinion that more planets should be liberated and tries to convince Allura of that.
Meanwhile, the Galra are splitting into factions; including the Fire of Purification led by Sendak. Sendak leads his forces against a shield station that protects a planet from harmful radiation. Hunk leads the repair effort to fix the station before radiation endangers the innocent citizens on the planet. During the repair effort, Shiro suffers and attack which leads to the station's power failing. Lance is severely injured protecting Allura from an energy discharge, but he is healed by Allura and the Paladins manage to repair the station in time.
Honerva arrives at the gates of Oriande.
